Our Nurse Practitioners are very experienced practice nurses who have undergone extensive training to gain an advanced level of skill and knowledge in examining patients in order to diagnose and treat a wide range of minor ailments.

The practice nurses are available by appointment only. They carry out numerous tasks which include cervical smears, childhood immunisations, holiday vaccinations, wound dressings and removal of stitches, ear syringing, family planning advice, chronic disease management clinics (Diabetes, COPD). They assist the doctors in minor surgery.
They are available to offer professional advice by phone on our morning triage service.

Clair and Kayleigh are available by appointment for a range of clinical procedures including NHS health checks, blood pressure monitoring, smoking cessation, spirometry and ECG’s etc. They also assist the Doctors with minor surgery.

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
The Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice, they are are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims and dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
The Health Visitors are based at Norton Clinic, Knypersley Road, Norton, Tel: 0300 123 1454. They specialise in preventative medicine and health education. Their work relates mainly to mothers and children under five year of age.
